Michael Kravchak was born in Marlton, NJ about 5 minutes from
Garden State Park. My father was not a horseman but he did bring me to the
track starting around 10 years old. I fell in love with harness racing watching
my very first race. After college,  I decided to call the "usta" , I told them that I
would work for free for as long as it took. That night I received a phone call
from the Jim Doherty Jr. Stable at the Meadowlands asking me to be there the
next day at 6:00a.m.. What a great experience to work with a 22 horse stable of
all classes and gaits. About 5 months later I bought 4 horses within a 2 week
period. Jr., introduced me to the Amateur Racing Series at Yonkers, and I won
my first race by 4 with Richter Lobell.  I wanted to explore my options with
another trainer. I got a job offer for 2nd trainer with Rich Chansky. We
finished in the top 5 in the standings at the toughest track in the country, The
Meadowlands. Working with Rich gave me the opportunity to jog and train
Open horses , such as Nutwood N, Malfunction, Chester Boy, Stonebridge
Dorun, Zippadeedodah, Timeshare N and Mob Scene. I went to Canada with
Rich but decided I liked the states a lot better. I went to work for Keystone
Driving Force and trainer Neil Ehrhart, of Pennsylvania. Neil was an excellent
trainer and had a 40 horse stable. I was his 2nd trainer, training and
qualifying all his horses.  I also had the chance to drive Superstar Peruvian
Hanover, Whopper, Agassi, Tooley's Dream and horses for the late Norman
Woolworth. After I recieved my trainer's and driver's licenses, I went to
Michigan to train a small stable of my own, with much success, but I was still
not satisfied. Michigan lead me to meet Michael and Craig Wolfe .  Craig
needed a trainer and driver to race in Kentucky for him. So here I am. First
Year in KY and in the Top 10 in driving and training standings.
Unfortunately, I have only had 3 or 4 horses at one time and they have all been
very cheap. They ALL get to the winner's circle frequently though. I finally
hooked up with a great owner recently, and the good horses turned to very good
horses, like Final Winner Chevie Revolution, 153.4 and now a great yearling
very well bred and staked. So I am open to the public now, for good. I have
raced at: Plainridge, Freehold, Meadowlands, GardenState, Pocono, Rosecroft,
Raceway, Northville, Hazel, Mohawk, Woodbine, Bluegrass Downs, Red Mile,
Thunder ridge, Yonkers and Indiana Downs. I have an "A" drivers and general
trainer's licence. I have won 2 fair finals in Ky and 1 in Indy, several F&M
Opens, and others. I like to take lame horses and win. I love to drive, but I
have no problems putting a Top Driver up. My wife is Jessica and we have 2
sons Job and Jude. We reside in Paducah Kentucky. My stats are from a small
stable of horses, but a great Utrs. Here are my stats.
